Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things that I would like to do

1 Learn the violin
2 Learn to scuba dive
3 And then dive in the Caribbean
4 Write a novel published...
5 And have it published
6 Spend New Year in New York
7 Learn to ride a horse
8 Learn the Salsa
9 Celebrate my 50th Wedding Anniversary (only 47 1/2 years to go)
10 Own our own home
11 Be able to afford a really gorgeous designer dress...
12 And be able to fit into it
13 See a great musical on Broadway

Most of these I should be able to do something about, I'm just too lazy. Perhaps this time next year I will come back and see what's been done about them. Of all 13 I'm only working towards 2, I've been learning the violin for about two months, and I'm working happily on number 9.

  1. I learnt how to scuba dive. In the Caribbean. And then became a scuba instructor. If you do nothing else on that list, learn to dive. It's a whole other amazing world down there.

    Thanks for visiting my 13.

  2. This all looks do-able. Good luck, but don't turn your back on the horse.

  5. I played the violin as a child but then gave it up once I became a teenager. I really wish I hadn't now as I'd love to be able ot play an instrument.

  6. I love horse riding, it isn't all that hard - I hope you get a change to do it sometime... along with the other thing you want to do.

I wanna celebrate my 50th, too. I have 37 years to go LOL

I was afraid of water, and given the chance to learn SCUBA while in high school, I passed. I always regretted it though, so I finally decided to learn. Got certified in Australia (AWESOME) and had a fabulous time. That was over 10 years ago now, and I haven't had a chance to dive since. Maybe one day!!

    Nice list! Good ideas!

    My 13 are up!

  17. Playing the violin would be so cool. I have been diving in the Caribbean. I have not spent new years in New York but I have been there at Christmas time. It is a beautiful city.

    Horses intimidate me.

I wish you the best on all of your list especially number 9!

My own 13 is up and trying hard to book a trip to NY to see Julia Roberts over at http://akaenigma.blogspot.com/

  18. I love these, though I'm sure it might not be a good idea for me to learn the violin.

  24. Awesome list! I would like to do severl of these myself! I'd like to be able to Salsa! I used to have dreams of a novel -- BUT... I wisely gave up that dream long ago! Contrary to what I originally thought, there is NOT a novel trying to get out of me! I would like to play an instrument - but not violin -- maybe guitar or piano.

    Thanks for stopping by!
