It's Thursday Again....

Thirteen Things about Louise

Thirteen Films I Love.

These are the films that I can, and do, watch over and over again and never get bored.

1. It's A Wonderful Life - every time I hear a bell ring, I think of the angel getting their wings.
2. North by Northwest - possibly Cary Grant's greatest film
3. Singin In The Rain
4. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
5. Calamity Jane - ok, I love musicals. They are perfect Sunday afternoon viewing.
6. Die Hard - the best mindless action film of all time. Ideal popcorn fun.
7. Dirty Dancing - every girl my age loves this film. All it takes is I've had the time of my life to come on the radio and everyone in the office starts quoting from the film.
8. Pretty Woman.
9. Shooting Dogs - watch it, get sad, then get angry and find out what you can do about the situation in Darfur.
10. Harvey - I cry when Harvey stays behind and leaves Elwood, and Elwood knows why.
11. High Society - I know I shouldn't prefer it to The Philadelphia Story, but I do.
12. Independence Day - it's utterly preposterous, but's that part of the reason I love it.
13. West Side Story.

I can't recall no 2 and (obviously?) hadn't heard of no 9, but as to the rest - I'll bring the wine if you bring the movies? Sounds like my perfect girls-night-in list!

Ohhh, I could watch some of those over and over, particularly "West Side Story." In high school, my friends and I could not WAIT for the network airing every year. We'd act it out the next day!

If you like Gene Kelly, try watching It's always Fair Weather. The rollerskating tap dance scene has to be seen to be believed.

My TT is up.

I never get bored watching Independence Day, either. Way awesome movie.

Thanks for stopping by my blog (and reminding me about He-man hehehe. How could I have forgotten, I only watched every afternoon when I was a kid.) :D

I've seen very few of these films. I think I'll keep the list for when I'm looking for a film to view!

Have a nice day!

I think DVD players were invented so we could watch Independence Day in it's full glory! :)

I don't miss "It's a Wonderful Life" when it's run every Christmas on TV. I love musicals too.

I haven't seen West Side Story in YEARS and years!!!! Wow, now I'm gonna have to go get it out off the shelf and watch it again.

Cool list, I live for movies.

Drop by if you can and see if you can guess any of my T - 13 list!

Independence Day goes high on my list as well. Nothing like a good movie to help me relax. I love anything with Sandra Bullock ;)

I haven't seen many of those. I do like the old films. Dirty Dancing is one that I always watch when it comes on tv. Pretty Woman, too. Independence Day ranks among one of my least favourite films ever. It was a cheesy "we're American and we're the greatest" waste of time, I thought.
